QUALITY AND SAFETY IN BATTERY PACK

All the operators in the sector know that a single low quality cell inside a Battery Pack, makes the whole assembly poor reducing efficiency and reliability.
Being able to perform a 100% check of the cells before assembly in modules and/or Battery Pack would allow to realize more homogeneous assemblies avoiding the greater risks generated by non-homogeneity: imbalance (not always fully managed by BMS) and heating (with possible Thermal Runaway).
3Bmac is time engaged in testing the cells thanks to the laboratory that in addition to performing tests according to IEC62660 allows to carry out constant R&D, as well as over time has developed a particular attention to safety issues.
The current preliminary results are showing that rapid tests can be carried out which, if introduced in-line, would increase the efficiency and safety of finished products (modules and/or battery packs).
These tests show that the internal resistance of cells in the same production batch is highly variable.
